Robert has considerable experience working in Washington. He currently serves as the Chief of Staff for Congressman Kilili Sablan in the U.S. House of Representatives. He also worked as senior policy advisor under Governor Juan N. Babauta of the Northern Mariana Islands and as staff to the Natural Resources and Commerce committees in the 6th Marianas Legislature.
