Chris Bohjalian is the New York Times bestselling author of 24 books. His work has been translated into 35 languages and become three movies and an Emmy-nominated TV series (HBO Max’s The Flight Attendant). He is also a playwright and screenwriter.

His books have been chosen as Best Books of the Year by the Washington Post, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel, Publishers Weekly, Library Journal, Kirkus Reviews, Bookpage, and Salon.

We were honored to have the opportunity to speak to Chris to learn more about what he enjoys most about writing — and how that has changed and evolved over the years — and to hear his thoughts about his own writing process and what advice he would impart to budding or student writers.
